3 Days of Preservation Tips So Far!

I am 3 days into my daily video tips for preserving your family history and it’s been so much fun so far!

Given that it is Preservation Week, this is the perfect opportunity to spread awareness for various things we can do when it comes to preserving our family history materials.  It excites me to think about how many valuable sources of information we all possess as family history enthusiasts – so much information to preserve and ensure our family members are able to access it in the future.

On Day 2 (Monday, April 26th), I shared a recommendation for reflecting on the type of containers we store our items in. I, personally, LOVE the kind of photo boxes you can find in major retail stores, but when it comes to our important family photos & documents, there are safer options available.

On Day 3 (Tuesday, April 27th), I talk about linkrot.  Don’t know what that is? Let’s just say that it is a problem we encounter on the Internet so if you have websites or webpages that you’ve saved a URL to and cited it in your family history work — this video is for you!

Come by my Facebook page to watch more videos this week! I am doing them each evening at 9 pm Central both there, and in my Facebook group, the Academy of Legacy Leaders™ – I would love for you to join me there too because we have a great time sharing, inspiring, and educating each other about doing MORE with our family history.
