Wow.
Today was a cool day! I was honored to be a guest at the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the NEW building of the Tennessee State Library & Archives. Tomorrow, the building officially opens to the public and that’s great news for Tennessee.
As President of the Nashville Chapter of the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society, I was invited to attend. I am also a member of TSLA Friends and have served on the Board of Directors of the Middle Tennessee Genealogical Society. Each of these roles, in addition to my own research, has involved collaborations with the State Library & Archives. I have even presented for TSLA. Needless to say, I am a supporter
Also… I am in the opening exhibit panels!
And, rather than write up my experience, I decided to do a video! Check it out below. You can also learn how I ended up in the opening exhibit. 🙂
Way to go Taneya!
Thanks Lynn! It was fun to see myself there! 🙂
